Our History
It’s more than our Mission. It’s the way we work, live, and care or people.

Founded in 1968, Tri-County Mennonite Homes (TCMH) has been a pillar of the community for over 50 years. Nithview Home originally opened its doors in April 1972 to serve the local aging population, and it has stayed true to this mission ever since.
In 1979, TCMH branched out to offer services for people with developmental disabilities, founding Aldaview Services, which provides housing and community supports. Later, TCMH expanded into Huron Perth by opening the doors of Greenwood Court in 1993.
Nithview Community’s campus has expanded many times over the years with the addition of seniors’ independent living units in the 1980’s, and again expanding available accommodations in the 1990’s and early 2000’s.
Today, TCMH is increasing Nithview Home by an additional 63 beds, to create a 160 bed state-of-the-art Home that will serve this community for generations to come.
TCMH will repurpose the existing building to further serve the community–but we are open to suggestions on what exactly that could mean.
The goal is to bring supportive services for seniors that will compliment the services TCMH provides. Whether it be medical services, community support services, or space to house local community groups, the current building will stand for many more years.
